This will be my second to last xanga post ever. On Monday, I start a new career as a Petroleum Land Man. I will be moving to Palestine, Fairfield, or Centerville. I'm really excited. Regardless, I will no longer be posting in my xanga. You might say to yourself, "But Cass, you haven't posted anything in a long time anyway." Yes, this is true, but my reason for ending my time with xanga isn't because I feel like I am done posting, but rather I'm moving on to something even better. In the following months I will post one final post on this site. The post will be one simple line. It will be a direct link to the new Cass O'Rear website. I've long wanted to create my own site where I could have total control over content and creative design. These dreams were only further encouraged by watching two of my closest friends, Jason Kelley and Matt Horner, start their own website. You can visit their site at BYXLIFEATUNT.com. Now, my website will be made possible do to a steady income and a solid schedule where I'll be able to keep the site updated on a regular basis. So this is the good bye post. Good bye, and thanks for reading,,,, come visit my amazing site once its up and ready.

The last song I'll post to play in the background is off of a new album entitled, Broken Boy Soldiers, by the new group The Raconteurs. If you don't already know, The Raconteurs is a band made up of Jack White (The White Stripes), Brendan Benson, and two of their friends. The song playing is called Steady as She Goes.

When are you going to graduate? What's your plan? Life's not easy. I think you should be a little more concerned about things. It's not always going to be easy.

These are all comments that I expect. These are all questions and statements that really don't phase me, but I think I need to address. I'm going to do my best to explain my reasoning behind what I don't consider my philosophy on life, but what I consider the biblical approach to life.

Don't worry. God's in control. No matter what happens in life, no matter what is thrown your way, God is in control. He will get you through it. Hard times are going to come. Persevere. No matter how bad life seems to suck, God is still good. Smile. Enjoy life. Enjoy it all. Work, sweat, pain, look for the purpose in them, and smile. Be confident. You are capable of anything with God. (There is a difference in confidence and arrogance) Be confident. Don't beat yourself up. You're not perfect. You will fail. You're forgiven. Learn from your mistakes. Move on. Obey His commandments. You know what is right and what is wrong. There is an absolute. Don't let sin convince you its ok. Once you begin passively accepting something wrong as permissible, then the rest of this paragraph becomes much, much harder. Love. Love in everyday life. Be kind to others. Family, friends, random people you meet, be genuinely kind to them. See Him in everything. Remember He is sovereign. Remember that the important thing isn't going to church. The important thing is not reading your bible. The important thing is living the life. If you live a life of focus, focus on Him that is, all of this is possible. Church won't be boring, life won't be miserable, you won't worry about the mundane pointless things of this life. The mundane pointless things will still be there, and you'll have to deal with them, but understand that worrying about them is pointless. Make glorifying Him the goal in all things and everything else will fall in place. I am a man of faith. I don't claim that any of this is easy. It takes time and you will never be able to do it perfectly. The world that looks at the way I live my life and sees the decisions I am making is confused. To many of you who might worry about me and where I'm going in life, I love you, it makes me happy that you care enough about me that it would effect you, but don't worry about me, God is in control. He will take me where He wants me. On my journey there, no matter where I am or what I'm doing, I can assure you, I'll be happy and seeking to glorify Him. He is my focus. He is my focus.

The song playing in the background is by Tom Vek, and is entitled "I Ain't Saying My Goodbyes". It's off his album "We Have Sound".

Two nights till The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. At midnight on Thurs. night I'll be sitting in a theatre in Grapevine Mills Mall in anticipation of the first of hopefully many films from the Chronicles of Narnia. These books are some of my all time favorites. I remember reading them way back in elementary. I saw The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe cartoon movie even before I read the books, when I was so young I'm not sure if I could even read yet. I can still remember how powerfully the movie moved me emotionally. As young as I was, C. S. Lewis' brilliant writing still caused me to identify with the characters and care for them so much that I felt their joy as they explored the amazing world of Narnia, the sadness of Aslan's death really got to me, and I was truly scared of that freaking witch. Seeing the previews for this newest edition, all of those same emotions come back as I see characters and clips of scenes. I think my good friend Lance stated it best a few weeks ago when he said something to the extent of, "I got chills when I heard Aslan roar at the end of the preview." I have high hopes for this film. In elementary we watched the old BBC movies of the books and they really sucked. I expect this movie to be puuuurty awesome. I added a new picture to the background. This picture was the desktop background on my computer for a lllllllong time.

The song playing in the background is entitled Four Kicks. It's by the Kings Of Leon and is off their newest album, Aha Shake Heartbreak.
